Rather than trying to explain what wellness coaching is, I’d rather share some qualities that all of my clients have/had in common. If you find yourself relating to this list, then wellness coaching is probably a good fit for you.

  • They acknowledge that something’s gotta change.  The status quo is not only causing pain in their life (whether emotionally, physically, spiritually, or all of the above), but it’s also keeping them stuck in patterns that perpetuate the discomfort.

  • They are so ready and hungry for a way out of the patterns that they’re now willing to seek support and guidance on how to gain some control over their well-being.

  • They aren’t looking for someone that has all of the answers, yet they simply want to feel heard, understood, and supported by someone that has walked a similar walk.

  • They desire more than just talking about the pain.  They want practical and effective tools that help them navigate the stressors and ups and downs that life will always throw our way.

  • They’re open to new perspectives, strategies, and practices that bolster self-awareness and reveal a new way of living.

Of course, each client is unique, but here are the five most common reasons both men and women have become clients:

1. Adopting a Healthier Lifestyle.  I don't want to just go on another diet, I want to live and be healthier!  But where do I start?

2. Stress Management & Anxiety Reduction.  I can't jump off this merry-go-round of life! But I need real, doable strategies to help manage it.

3. Letting Go of Old Stories.  I don't want to keep repeating the same patterns in my life, and I can’t seem to redirect my negative self-talk.  I want to see that another way of living is possible, and I need support in finding those different pathways.

4. Life Prioritization.  I have so many options in front of me.  How can I mindfully decide without second-guessing myself?

5. Next Chapter.  I've accomplished a lot, but now my roles and goals have been changing.  Help me navigate!
